Just in time for the 4th of July 2020, all Americans have an opportunity to be part of the construction of this unprecedented and permanent display of Old Glory at Park Of America. Displayed on the face of a man-made mountain, Flag Mountain, this flag dwarfs current largest flags in the world.
Minneapolis, MN July 4, 2017
Each star will be 11.5 stories high, and each stripe over 14 stories high, on the 1,869.48-foot by 3552-foot Old Glory that will rest on a 90+-story inclined plain, called Flag Mountain for now, in the new Park of America (POA). Just in time for Independence Day, Terrance W. Sachetti, of Minneapolis, is calling all who love America to take part in this historic endeavor, driven to complete the flag in time for the nation’s 250th year as a sovereign country, in 2026. It will be a cornerstone in this Monument to All Americans with education and a entertainment park in side the man made mountain.POA will also contain attractions like a 3,200-foot scale model of the U.S., complete with landmarks, and the amazing Soul of America. You will literally be able to take a walk through our great country. Also a to scale of the White House so we all can have an opportunity to visit the people’s house.
When asked why he is moved to build, Sachetti said, “The time is long overdue for a monument to honor all Americans – the real cogs in this great experiment we call America – who have relentlessly contributed to building the strongest and most free nation in the world.” In a time of inner turmoil for the nation, he believes this vision will unite and inspire.
Visitors will be encouraged to walk through the one-foot to one-mile scale representation of the nation. Strolling through this 160-acer, topographically correct map, they can view models of natural and man-made features unique to individual states. Sachetti wants residents from each state to have input in the development of their part in the map.
The heart of the POA will be the Soul of America building. A cutting-edge concept, this five-story, star-shaped monument will be a repository for the memories of America. Participants will be allowed to upload videos and writings about themselves, to preserve their story for generations to come, making this a living journal. Terrance is passionate about the future impact of this building, saying, “Imagine your grandchildren’s grandchildren seeing you at various stages of your life, hearing your voice, your laugh, your stories, and wisdom. This is a family tree that will talk through generations!” Let’s Face it, as wonderful as it would be to know your great, great grandchildren will have a picture of you, it won’t do much. Seeing you on video, hearing your stories told by your own voice, passing on your wisdom. Imagine, being able to reach out to your future great, great, great grand kids and impacting them. What a great way to make a lasting impression on our future generations.
Plans are to place a theme park on the other side, and within, Flag Mountain—a space large enough for a several Mall of Americas. The country’s founding and history will be reenacted, throughout, by actors in period dress, who will interact with guests. Of the immersive experience, Sachetti said, “It will be like you are transported through time, seeing the founding fathers walking through the park, hearing their insight, and witnessing their contributions to the birth our nation.”
“Maybe the President could connect me with a good project manager,” he quipped. He noted that this immense park, which will grow to have a full-scale White House, theme park, and concert arena, will be responsible for the creation of thousands of construction and permanent jobs in the host state, for which he is conducting a nationwide site selection search. He is currently looking for corporate sponsors, spokespersons, volunteers, and professionals for the non-profit organization to “move forward and launch a multifaceted fundraising campaign to build the Park of America.”
Patriots are invited to go to https://www.ParkOfAmerica.org to view a 3D fly through of the park and learn more. Sachetti, wanting to make this a park for the people and by the people, has initiated it as a non-profit park. This will keep costs of admission to the park low. He is calling all flag lovers of America to contribute by giving their time and/or money to the cause.
